Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj is reportedly considering whether or not her next career move is reality television, however, some reports claim a series has already kicked off filming.
In an interview earlier this week, Minaj hinted at plans to possibly get the cameras rolling.
“That I’m going to keep a secret for now,” Nicki said in an interview. “I am still considering — I will say that I find the more people see, is the more they understand, and then it’s the more they like you. When you pull them in your world, they see you as a real person. I’m not running away from it anymore.” (Perez TV)
Days later, reports confirming a reality series is now in the works started sprouting.

Critics have already started raving about the success Minaj will have with her own show.
Insiders are convinced the eccentric singer will make for great viewing. One told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ‘Nicki’s life on camera will blow away all other previous reality stars.’ Nicki recently revealed she agreed to judge ‘American Idol’ because it is such a ‘credible’ show. She said: ‘This is such a credible brand. It’s really serious, it’s real deal it’s not anything else other than really looking for talent. If I can be a part of that I’m really down for it.’ (Monsters & Critics)
Recently, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Lil Scrappy gave SOHH his take on why some rappers fall back on doing reality television.
“I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t think [it’s rappers being less] camera shy, I just think there’s certain people that let it be known they are super thugs and they are super human and if they were to let people into their life and have them find out that they weren’t super, that they just like them, they probably wouldn’t feel them as much. Whatever they would try to put out there [on store shelves] wouldn’t work, you feel me? Only certain people can be loved for being real. Sometimes people are a little too real, get carried away and so you wouldn’t know.” (SOHH)
