Young Money's Nicki Minaj has delivered a personal message to her female critics and said they should be inspired by her accomplishments.

Refusing to reference any specific females, Minaj offered her opinion on why she is being targeted.

“There are some that say something positive,” Nicki said in an interview. “You should be happy I’m here even though I’m showing you b*tches how to do it. But umm, I get more love than hate. So you know, it’s expected when people see there’s one person getting shine, it makes them feel unhappy with themselves. The small minded people feel unhappy with themselves. The intelligent girls take the things that they like from me and my journey and apply it to their journey. If I had it my way, that’s what they’d all do. Everyone is not going to like Nicki Minaj. Everyone’s not going to like the way I look or what I do but I think if you’re smart you’d take from me and figure out why everyone is talking about me. That’d be the ‘smart’ thing to do. I don’t think they know how to express that so they express it with anger, jealousy and hatred and that consumes them and I’m still here.” (VIBE TV)

Ruff Ryders’ Eve recently shared her opinion of Minaj.

“She definitely is a quirky chick. That’s a good word for her,” Eve said in an interview. “When she had the Freddy Krueger gloves I was like ‘Wow.’ But at the same time, whatever you decide to do, especially in music, you gotta go hard and own it. You can’t be timid wearing Freddy Krueger gloves in a video. If you look insecure, people are going to be like ‘Why are you doing that?’ You gotta f*cking own it and she did. I think that’s dope…Trust me, no one’s competition for me and that sounds cocky but I seriously live in such an Eve world. And not in a crazy-everything-is-me-bubble, it’s just that I’m bulding an empire. I go on Twitter and people say ‘Yo, knock Nicki Minaj out of the box, but ultimately we’re all helping each other and I’m happy seeing these chicks in the game.” (VIBE)

Last month, Southern rapper Khia called out Minaj’s image.

“I don’t know if it’s really her. Everybody knows it’s me, it’s Khia. I don’t know if she’s Nick, I don’t know if she’s a Barbie. I tell everybody, we don’t have Barbies in the hood. Boos, there wasn’t no Barbies sitting on the stoop, love who you are. Hip-Hop is supposed to be real, hip-hop is supposed to be where the real people hang and I think it’s a lot of infiltrators coming in…” (“Street Disciplez Radio”)

Speaking via a UStream broadcast earlier this month, Minaj said she would continue to ignore her female rap critics.

“I don’t respond to stupidity because I don’t have to,” Minaj said in a video. “I don’t need it for publicity and people that do that, they need it. You guys don’t have to tell me about somebody saying some stupid negative sh*t because all these b*tches are my sons. So, I showed them how to do this. I show y’all how to do this. That’s why y’all yap yap yappity yap. I hear y’all talking. That’s why I occupy my time getting a green piece of paper…So pretty much, I spend so much time counting that green paper that for me to take my time out for stupid, foolish, strawberry shortcake bum b*tches that live on planet bum would almost make me as low on the totem pole as they are. You’ll never hear me say your names. You’ll just keep barking up that tree, and I’ll keep doing what I do. In other news, I want to say though, that, you guys make hip-hop into some real clown sh*t when you feed into that.” (UStream)
