Young Money's Nicki Minaj showed off her more colorful, comedic side in a new mock interview for ELLE magazine where she interviews herself and runs through a range of steamy topics.
Within the one-on-one with herself, Minaj admits a love for black thongs and reveals an interest in artificial insemination.
Nicki Minaj wears many hats–rapper, singer, fashion designer, and judge on “American Idol,” but now she’s taking on a new role. The rap diva plays reporter, interviewing herself during a mock interview for ELLE magazine. An inquisitive Nicki asks the superstar Nicki about her childhood and what she wears at home. “I love black thongs,” says superstar Nicki, while offering other wild quotes. “I’m gonna be artificially inseminated so I don’t ever have sex with anyone.” (Rap-Up)
She also briefly talks about her tough childhood, dealing with female bullies.
Nicki graces the cover of ELLE’s April issue. She trades the wigs and makeup for a more natural look, but it wasn’t easy for her. “To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol’ crazy lashes–you know, nothing–I felt naked. It was scary!” she said. “So this photo shoot was a real accomplishment in my eyes.” She also revealed that she was bullied as a child. “I went through a lot of bullying early on. Girls made my life a living hell.” (Rap-Up)
Despite appearing in Ice Age: Continental Drift last year with a voiceover, Minaj recently revealed why she is not rushing to cash-in on a slew of Hollywood movie offers.
Nicki Minaj has set her sights on the big screen. She told Page Six on Oscar night, “I would love to act, it just has to be the right project, the right movie.” “Nothing stereotypical about a singer,” the rapper and “American Idol” judge said. “I have an agent, and we are looking at a couple of scripts, so we’ll see.” (New York Post)
Back in 2011, Nicki looked to the future and predicted having more albums and some kids in the years to come.
Having gotten past those low points, the MC tells the magazine that she has firm plans for a bright future. “I will have put out five albums and will have an Oscar and Grammys,” she predicted. “And I will be getting married and, a couple of years after that will have a bun in the oven. … My whole life is about being Nicki Minaj now. It’s a never-ending saga.” (MTV)
