Via Twitter, Minaj revealed that she wrapped up recording her choice Pink Friday record this week.

“I recorded my favorite song on Pink Friday last nite. After deep thought ; I’ve decided to go with my heart. Thanks 4 coming.,” she tweeted Thursday (September 23).

“Like a multi-faceted girl w/1 more chance > RT @Wayne45: @NICKIMINAJ can u give us any hints of wut pink friday is goin 2 sound like?”

“I’ll never please everyone. I’ve come to terms with that. That in itself has been my most valuable lesson to date.”

“These voices can’t be silenced. I’ve tried. They torment me. They need to be heard. I surrender. Alas! Creativity. Diversity. Fearlessness” (Nicki Minaj’s Twitter)

This week, Minaj’s “Right Through Me” record leaked across the Internet.

‘Right Through Me’ is downright glossy pop-rap. The song rides a sample from guitar shredder Joe Satriani with some heavy double-time drums and finds Minaj addressing how her significant other is her favorite for putting up with her guarded personality. (The Boom Box)

Following its leak, the song’s producer, Drew Money, confirmed that the  release wasn’t authorized.

“I had no clue ‘Right Through Me’ was going to leak,” said Drew Money. “All I knew about the record was that they were considering it as a single. I went into the studio with Nicki specifically in mind. We’ve never worked together before but I just knew it would be the right type of record for her…She called me a few days ago and was really excited about the song. Nicki just nailed it, I didn’t even have to touch it after she sent it back. It’s already playing it on the radio and it hasn’t dropped officially. There’s only going to be more to come from us.” (VIBE)

This week, Minaj revealed that her Young Money boss, incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne, found out about her debut title through fan letters received in jail.

“He said that people were writing him in jail saying, ‘Oh, we lovedThank Me Later and we can’t wait for Pink Friday.’ So he said he was looking at the letters like, ‘What the h*ll is Pink Friday? Because I didn’t even tell him my album name and stuff and he found out in jail because of like, the fans writing him letters. He was like, ‘OK Nick, that’s the name of your album?’ And we were just having a great conversation and I stayed there for like, two hours and then broke out. But thank God he’ll be back November 4th.” (Hot 97)

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday is scheduled to drop Tuesday, November 23rd.
