Diehard Nicki Minaj male fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as new reports claim the mega rap star is not pregnant with Lil Wayne's child.
According to reports, reps for both Young Money acts have denied the baby buzz.
Last Monday RumorFix got wind of a rumor that Nicki Minaj was preggers with Lil Wayne’s baby. We can finally confirm that this story is absolutely false! A rep for both Weezy and the Superbass singer told RumorFix exclusively that the gossip is just that — gossip! Rumors of a pregnancy began swirling after urban website ThyBlackMan.com alleged that the superstar duo “recently got word” that “indeed Nicki Minaj is pregnant. To add fire to this drama Lil Wayne supposedly is the father to be,” the website adds, “It seems like Nicki Minaj was just having a fun night and got pregnant.” (RumorFix)
Gossip sites initially claimed Nicki was sporting a baby bump thanks to Weezy F. Baby.
The duo, known for their brother-sister type relationship, is said to be birthing a child together in the near future. Rumors began swirling after numerous urban websites began to report the claim. ThyBlackMan.com alleges they “recently got word” that “indeed Nicki Minaj is pregnant. To add fire to this drama Lil Wayne supposedly is the father to be,” the website adds, “It seems like Nicki Minaj was just having a fun night and got pregnant.” One insider apparently also spotted the rapper sporting what appeared to be a baby bump while out to dinner January 2. The snitch adds Minaj made a conscious decision to stick with water that night, which is out of character for the star, who normally consumes alcohol. “Nicki twice made toasts by drinking water instead of wine, and it’s highly unusual for her to toast with anything but a full glass of wine.” (RumorFix)
Last year, Nicki downplayed romance speculation after shooting steamy scenes with Weezy for their “High School” music video.
“Not only is he my boss, but he’s also like my brother,” Minaj said. “It’s very weird because I’m just used to Wayne making fun of me, and all of Young Money boys making fun of me, so every time they yelled ‘Cut!’ I was just being picked on. It was completely them being bullies to me. But it’s still like Wayne is still so sexy and so I texted Wayne and I was like, you’re going to have all the chicks back on you, know what I’m saying? Because when this video comes out, he looks like art, he looks like a piece of art all tatted up, all sexy, black and beautiful.” (MTV)
Minaj also revealed Wayne followed her every move and would not lay a finger on her without permission.
“He refused to touch me, he’s so respectful, he refused to touch me, and then I was like, ‘Wayne,’ I was like, ‘You could do this.’ But he was acting scared, like, ‘Yo, Nick, this is my dream. I’m gonna be a man after this video.’ He was just being crazy,” Minaj said. “But if I didn’t tell him ‘Yes, you can do this’ or ‘touch this,’ he refused to do it, like he’s a southern gentlemen, which people don’t realize.” (MTV)
