While mum on revealing her line’s name, Minaj did say it would launch in Macy’s stores in the near future.

“The other day, me and Wayne were bashing each other. He was telling me that my clothing line better not copy off of his clothing line. And I was like, “Excuse me?” And he was just like bragging about his clothing line is at Macy’s and we were just cracking up laughing. It’s like, I’m so super proud of this man. I feel like there’s nothing he can’t do. Everything he does, he wins at it. His clothing line – my guy friends, you know, are already rocking Trukfit. It’s interesting because things really happen overnight nowadays but, best believe, when my clothing line comes, I’m going to blow him out the park and he’s probably going to be coming asking me for a job. [laughs]” (Rolling Stone)

The self-proclaimed Barbie also said there is footage of their clothing clash.

“[laughs] I got this on tape! The Barbz will be able to see the full, full Nicki Minaj vs. Lil Wayne clothing line clash convo on tape for them to witness. It’s gonna be really, really fun. He’s super-duper supportive and I told him that the next time I go to Macy’s, I’m going to spend like a billion dollars – I don’t care what I have on my credit card or in my pocketbook, I’m gonna buy every last ounce of Trukfit in the store. And he was like, “Yeah, I’m not sending you no Trukfit, I’m not sending it to you for free – you gotta go buy it, you gotta support!” And you know what, Wayne? Fine, I’m gonna support.” (Rolling Stone)

Recently, Weezy’s TRUKFIT brand manager Mike Morris gave SOHH readers a few reasons to buy the new line.

“The number one reason is it’s a Lil Wayne clothing line. What else could you ask for? You can pair it with a blazer, a cardigan [or] layer it up underneath a Henley and great pair of shoes. Just think about it, Wayne goes from meetings to studios to skate parks and arenas and [will] still be at home with his family. So he wouldn’t sell you anything that you wouldn’t be able to roll out with and still look cool.” (SOHH 5 Reasons)

Back in March, Weezy detailed his motivation behind putting the brand together.

Weezy’s first clothing line, Trukfit, is simply a reflection of the current digs he’s into wearing. Skateboard influenced, yes, but don’t label his brand anything yet. YMCMB’s head figure has ideas that change on a daily basis. He tells VIBE his sense of fashion comes from no one else but the man in the mirror. “I’m really fond of Marc Jacobs as a designer. Everybody knows I love Polo,” Weezy tells VIBE. “But as far as me being fixated on some person’s style, that just ain’t… nahhh. That just ain’t me.” Ultimately, Wayne says he doesn’t even pay attention to the fact that his style choices influence kids from all over the world. “Nah, I don’t be trippin. I just love the opportunity,” Weezy says after explaining how his brand will give kids from all backgrounds the opportunity to “dress fly.” (VIBE)
