New York rapper Nicki Minaj has a lot of love for Ellen DeGeneres. The hip-hop diva took a minute away from music-making to acknowledge the popular talk show host’s birthday.
Nicki went to Twitter Thursday (January 26) with a major shout-out to ED.
This week, Minaj’s new “Run Up” Major Lazer and PartyNextDoor song premiered online.
Major Lazer’s latest album, Peace Is the Mission, came out in 2015. Since then, the trio of Diplo, Jillionaire, and Walshy Fire have put out a number of tracks, including “Cold Water” (with Justin Bieber and MØ), “My Number” (which samples Toots and the Maytals), “Believer” (with Showtek), and “Christmas Trees” (with Protoje). Today, the group have released another new song, “Run Up.” (Pitchfork)

Recent reports claimed a birthday celebration argument ultimately broke up Nicki and ex-boyfriend Meek Mill.
Sources close to the ex-couple tell us … they weren’t getting along in Turks and Caicos, because he was hanging with friends and not paying attention to her.
