Writing via Twitter, Minaj said scammers pose as fans to get closer to an artist.

“New scam. 4-5 ppl wait 4 me every city I land in. Pose as fans, take a pic w/me, put it on the net, then SELL fake AUTOGRAPHED POSTERS,” Minaj tweeted Friday (October 22).

“Its probably a multi-million dollar operation @ this point. They do it to ALL your favorite artists.”

“Moral of the story: unless u hear otherwise from the mouth of the artist, autographed merchandise is usually fraudulent. Don’t be scammed.” (Nicki Minaj’s Twitter)

Last month, Minaj called out fake promoters for selling tickets to non-booked shows.

“I didn’t have anything to do with it,” Nicki explained about a fake New Jersey concert. “People are going around pretending that they are able to book me or they’re able to sign paperwork to get me there… It’s a lot of college clubs or college shows being promoted that I have no idea about.” (Hot 97)

The rapper is currently preparing the release of her new album, Pink Friday.

Minaj has reportedly moved up the release date of her debut album “Pink Friday.” The debut album from Hip-Hop’s most popular female emcee will arrive a day early on November 22. This means that Nicki will be going up with Kanye West and his album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” and Jay-Z‘s “Hits Collection Vol. 1.” Although she had been promoting a November 23rd date, she has now decided to release the album the Monday before Black Friday. In September, the album’s single “Right Through Me” leaked on the Internet.

“I had no clue ‘Right Through Me’ was going to leak,” said the song’s producer Drew Money. “All I knew about the record was that they were considering it as a single. I went into the studio with Nicki specifically in mind. We’ve never worked together before but I just knew it would be the right type of record for her…She called me a few days ago and was really excited about the song. Nicki just nailed it, I didn’t even have to touch it after she sent it back. It’s already playing it on the radio and it hasn’t dropped officially. There’s only going to be more to come from us.” (VIBE)
