In Nicki’s perspective, the industry version of Gucci Mane is plagued with issues and is unwilling to take responsibility for his own faults.

“So, it’s like I separate Gucci the artist from Gucci the person. Gucci the person is a sweet, loving, carefree, funny, hardworking dude. And so I never really paid attention to anything he said,” Nicki explained. “In terms of intervention, I think about how talented he is and I kind of wish there was somebody that could step in and say ‘Gucci, if you only knew how special you were. You would take a moment to really just get centered.’ I just think he really needs to center himself and not to point fingers because I’ve had moments when I needed to center myself. Sometimes you just need to be alone in a meditating type of place and to just kinda block out all the other noise.” (Hot 107.9)

Last fall, the Atlanta rapper called out Minaj for not showing him enough love back after blowing up with Young Money.

“It’s like when she came to Atlanta, she gave me a shout-out, said I helped her and her career,” Gucci said referring to Nicki. “But at the end of the day, I think a lot of times you just keep it real with somebody, you can’t expect them to keep it real with you. I told you man, this industry thing, they want to be famous and people forget how to keep it real and forget the people who helped them get to where they’re at. As soon as that money starts coming in, the people start, that fame [is no joke.] It bothers like every artist when they first start coming in. They start thinking whatever they make is hot, every song they make is hot, everybody hate on them that don’t play their records. I’ve seen so many people’s careers go down so I tip my hat to Nicki for being a hard worker but at the same time, she knows she didn’t keep it real.” (Hot 107.9)

After posting $75,000 bond, Gucci found himself back behind bars a couple weekends ago.

Gucci Mane wastes no time … He’s back behind bars — exactly ONE DAY after being released from jail — TMZ has learned. Mane was locked up on March 26 after allegedly assaulting a man with a bottle in an Atlanta nightclub. A judge initially denied the rapper bail. The judge then softened and two days ago set bail at $75,000. Good news for Mane — he was sprung from the pokey yesterday. Bad news for Mane — he was re-arrested today for a probation violation. Sorta good news for Mane — we hear Saturday is movie night in the pokey. UPDATE: Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the probation violation is totally unrelated to the recent assault arrest. (TMZ)

The rapper was officially indicted on an assault accusation earlier this month.

Rapper Gucci Mane was indicted on one count of aggravated assault Tuesday, according to Channel 2 Action News. Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, is accused of hitting a soldier in the head with a champagne bottle at Harlem Nights club on Courtland Street in Atlanta in March. The victim told Channel 2 that Davis hit him in the head while he was trying to talk to a security guard. “I’m in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?” the soldier said he asked the guard. The alleged victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and said he received 10 stitches. Davis was arrested in late March. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
