Nicki Minaj Admits Being “Butt-A** Naked” On Live TV

Young Money's Nicki Minaj recently reflected on her now-infamous MTV Video Music Awards wardrobe malfunction and explained how it all went down.

Nicki appeared on “The Ellen Show” and blamed timing for her incident.

“I had about 40 or 50 seconds to change from the ‘Anaconda’ outfit into the ‘Bang Bang’ outfit and I don’t know why … originally I was going to have a skirt wrapped around the green [‘Anaconda’ performance two-piece], but then when I realized that Jessie [J] and Ariana [Grande] were wearing black-and-white, I didn’t want to ruin the shot with me wearing a green bra and them wearing black-and-white.” (“The Ellen Show”)

Nicki also claimed to be completely naked underneath her dress.

“So I was like, ‘I have to put on a black dress really quickly,’ and sure enough, we didn’t have a real quick change right there so it was literally my whole team standing there, holding curtains around me and it was pitch-black and I couldn’t see anything and right before it was time for me to walk out, they went to zip it up and nothing. And right there I thought I died. … I didn’t have any underwear on — no underwear, no bra — ’cause I had just taken off the ‘Anaconda’ outfit, so I was butt-a** naked.” (“The Ellen Show”)

Recent reports claimed Nicki strategically planned the VMAs incident to go down.

Eyewitnesses who watched Nicki’s rehearsal Sunday morning tell TMZ … she walked on stage wearing the same dress — unzipped. One eyewitness says it caught her eye because she initially thought Nicki had come out in a robe. We’re told Nicki was wrapping her arms around the dress in a “weird” sort of way … trying to manipulate it to see how much would be exposed. (TMZ)

Nicki Minaj avoided a majorly embarrassing moment when she opened the MTV Video Music Awards with Ariana Grande and Jessie J Sunday night. After finishing her solo “Anaconda” performance, Minaj joined the divas for “Bang Bang.” While they danced, she clutched the front of her cleavage-baring LBD. “You all know I had a wardrobe malfunction,” the rapper yelled to reporters backstage.
