Nicki Minaj Addresses Meek Mill & Safaree Samuels Romance Rumors

Young Money's Nicki Minaj has put an immediate end to recent romance rumors involving Maybach Music Group's Meek Mill.

When asked about Meek possibly being her new boyfriend, Minaj said she is on the open market.

Prompted by fan tweets, Ryan eventually asked straight-up: “Can you clear up this Meek Mill situation?” But Nicki dropped her coy act and directly denied any real romantic connection to the rapper. “Let me clear this up: I am SINGLE,” she stated. “People are just assuming these things and I don’t know why. This is my friend. I’m just hanging out. We don’t look at each other like that at all!” (Hollywood Life)

In a recent Complex cover feature, Minaj said putting too much time into her work scared her the most.

“That I’ll become so consumed with work that I’ll forget to live my personal life to the fullest. If I’m done with my fifth album and I don’t have a child by then, no matter how much money I have, I would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother. I have definitely put off the wife thing because I don’t want people in my business.” (Complex)

If things go accordingly, Nicki will be married before having her first kid.

“I’d rather not do anything that’s going to be on paper but I definitely will be married before I have my baby. I want to make sure I do it in that order. I’ve always felt like that since I was young; my mother always put that in my head. By the fifth album, I will have walked down the aisle and I will at least be on baby number one, possibly baby number two. [Laughs.] And have $500 million.” (Complex)

Nicki dished on her personal life on the new song “Bed of Lies” when it premiered online last month.

On the emotional Kane Beatz-produced track, which features Skylar Grey, the leader of the Barbz puts her ex-boyfriend on blast. “You could never make eye contact / Everything you got was based off of my contacts,” she spits, while reflecting on dark times in her relationship. “Couldn’t believe that I was home alone contemplating overdosin’, no more coastin’, no more toastin’ over oceans.” (Rap-Up)
