Nick Cannon Reveals Mariah Carey Reunion Plans

Hollywood actor Nick Cannon has provided an update on his relationship with estranged wife Mariah Carey and explained just how much of a close-knit bond they still share despite splitting up.

According to Cannon, there are still plans to reunite with Carey for family time on the holidays.

Speaking to U.S. talk show host Meredith Viera on Friday (24Oct14), he explains, “(I’m) just staying focused on family and what’s right and getting through these times and just doing what’s right for the kids… “They’re just happy. They love mommy, they love daddy. We’ve always been people who are kind of on the go, coming and going, so their life hasn’t changed one bit. We spend holidays together, we do everything that we’re supposed to do together.” (Hollywood)

Approached by a paparazzo, Cannon recently explained why the media’s coverage of him and Rose is going in the wrong direction.

“It was fun. We were having a good time,” Nick said referring to his recent outing with Amber. “[Our amusement park ride] wasn’t all to [ourselves], there were other people. You know what it was? The best part of every roller coaster is on the front or the back, so, all of those people were on the [ride] with us but nobody wanted to sit in the middle. So we were out there with about 20 people. [Just friends?] Yeah man, let’s talk about this. Would I be out there at amusement parks and all over the place with somebody I was trying to creep? Nah, that’s just my people. I’m her manager and she’s also like, we cool.” (TMZ)

Recent reports claimed model Amber Rose and Cannon linked up for an event earlier this month.

Nick Cannon stepped out to support model Amber Rose at the XXIV Karat Sparkling Wine Launch party in LA on Thursday night, further fueling speculations that the two may be an item. “They were sitting very cozy in her booth. He wouldn’t take pictures with her. He said it was her night, but clearly he didn’t want to because he didn’t want people to speculate on their relationship.” (In Touch Weekly)

Recently, Rose dismissed Cannon hookup gossip and spoke on her pending divorce from rap star Wiz Khalifa.

“I was like, ‘D*mn, Nick, that’s cool for you, but it ain’t happening.’ I’m focused on my son and my work. I really don’t have time for a man. I’m going through a divorce and technically I’m single, but I’m just not ready for [that].” (People)

Earlier this month, Nick addressed his status with Rose amid his own split from Carey.

Just a month and a half after publicly confirming his separation from Carey, Cannon says he no plans to move on in another relationship any time soon. “I think the wound’s too fresh to even be thinking about that right now,” he told Dish Nation’s Rickey Smiley. “That’s someone that I’m managing,” Cannon said of Amber Rose. “I’m really excited about everything she’s about to do in her career and building her brand. I manage a lot of people, but obviously that’s one, because she’s in the news as well and kind of a public figure, people just kind of latched onto that as the media does at times.” (Dish Nation)
