Hollywood actor Nick Cannon has stepped forward to address rumors and gossip about his wife/singer Mariah Carey possibly having a fling with fellow music veteran Nas.
Quick to kill the dating buzz, Cannon dished on having a friendship with Nasty Nas.
“It’s amazing to me when I hear that stuf. Nas is probably one of the best rappers to ever do it, Howard. He’s a friend of mine, he’s a friend of hers. She went to his birthday party and I think I was in L.A. … We actually talked about this before. It’d be very difficult to make me jealous. I’m probably one of those dudes that’s really secure in my relationship.” (“The Howard Stern Show”)
Nasir Jones celebrated his 40th birthday last year alongside the R&B diva.
Straight from Arsenio, Nas flew back to his hometown of New York City for a pre-birthday celebration party. Turning 40 on Saturday, the Queens-native hosted a night filled with dinner and dancing at Avenue NYC on Friday night. Sponsored by Hennessy, plenty of artists, actors, and industry executives came to celebrate with Nas. (Miss Info TV)
Last month, Cannon and Carey spent some time together for their own birthday celebration.
Nick recently surprised his wife with some butterfly bling for her birthday (or anniversary, as she likes to call it), which she naturally showed off on Twitter. “Nick surprised me for 3/27 with a stellar diamond bracelet encrusted with 3 floating butterflies!” the songbird captioned a close-up photo of the happy duo flaunting the impressive and intricate cuff. In summer 2013, Grand Hustle rapper Iggy Azalea denied being romantically linked to the rap veteran.
“I heard I was dating Nas, I heard I was dating T.I., I ‘was’ dating T.I. and I was dating Kanye West as well,” Iggy sarcastically said in an interview. “And I posted a photo shopped picture of Drake so I was dating him too. The funny thing is I don’t use any of their production or features. I’m good. … No, I’m not dating Nas. That picture is from when we were on tour together and we were at an afterparty where we both got paid to be at and took a picture together. He is a good friend to me — he’s a really smart guy and he’s taken a lot of risks in his career that people think are insane. I had a lot to talk about with him because I take a lot of risks as well.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
