Hollywood actor/rapper Nick Cannon is finally back home and resting after working up a scare last week when his wife Mariah Carey revealed he was hospitalized for kidney complications.
According to Cannon’s publicist, he is back home and in recovery mode.
Nick Cannon is out of the hospital after battling what wife Mariah Carey called “mild kidney failure.” In a statement Monday, Cannon’s publicist Tracy Nguyen (WIHN) said he’s now “resting and recovering at home” and thanks everyone who was concerned about him. She says he’ll return to his live morning radio show, “Rollin’ with Nick Cannon,” on Jan. 17. (Associated Press)
Last week, Cannon hit up Twitter to thank concerned fans and reveal getting transferred from Colorado back to his home state.
“Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me… I will be a’ight,” he tweeted January 4th. (Nick Cannon’s Twitter)
Carey broke the news of her husband’s medical problems days prior.
“This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are. We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C. We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.” (Mariah Carey’s Blog)
The scare came months after Carey and Cannon welcomed their first children together.
It’s official — Mimi is now a mama! Mariah Carey gave birth to twins – a boy and a girl – on Saturday. The 41-year-old singing superstar gave birth at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles, Mariah’s rep, Cindi Berger, told the Associated Press. Nick and Mariah’s baby girl was reportedly born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; while her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches. The twins coincidentally arrived on the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary. (Access Hollywood)
