Hollywood actor Nick Cannon has come forward to clear the air on recent rumors about possibly having a romance brewing with model Amber Rose.
Cannon addressed his status with Rose amid his own split from wife Mariah Carey.
Just a month and a half after publicly confirming his separation from Carey, Cannon says he no plans to move on in another relationship any time soon. “I think the wound’s too fresh to even be thinking about that right now,” he told Dish Nation’s Rickey Smiley. “That’s someone that I’m managing,” Cannon said of Amber Rose. “I’m really excited about everything she’s about to do in her career and building her brand. I manage a lot of people, but obviously that’s one, because she’s in the news as well and kind of a public figure, people just kind of latched onto that as the media does at times.” (Dish Nation)
Cannon’s camp addressed the rumors right here…
Recent reports claimed Cannon learned about Rose’s marital problems when he signed the model to his management team a few weeks ago.
Sources close to Nick tell TMZ … Nick and Amber — who just recently got into business together — have kept things strictly professional. Nick insists … NOTHING happened in the cheating department. Nick claims he only learned about Amber’s domestic problems through her lawyers last week when he signed her on as a client. That’s when Nick says he found out her marriage was on the rocks and only then did the two share break-up stories. (TMZ)
Buzz about rap star Wiz Khalifa and Amber calling it quits surfaced around mid-September.
Rose filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. She is seeking custody of their 20-month old son and spousal support as laid out in the former couple’s prenuptial agreement. Court filings state the couple separated on Monday, but provide no other details on the split or how the pair’s finances will be divided. (USA Today)
Nick Cannon and Amber’s partnership reportedly turned official on September 18.
We hear the “America’s Got Talent” host, who is splitting with wife Mariah Carey, is going to manage the model/video girl through his company, NCredible Entertainment. We’re told Rose, who was once signed to Ford Models and recorded a single in 2012, but is perhaps better known for her choice of minimal outfits (and eye-popping curves), flew to New York to take a meeting with the multifaceted Cannon on Thursday.
