The latest game reports claim GTA V will come packed with over 200 licensed songs.

Amid the mixed up leaks surrounding Grand Theft Auto V, Rolling Stone has finally unveiled details about the game’s eclectic soundtrack. GTAV will feature 240 licensed songs as well as 15 music radio stations and two all-talk radio channels. Totaling “somewhere in the proximity of 20 movies’ worth of score” while collaborating with artists and presenters that include Wavves, DJ Pooh, Jesco White, Bootsy Collins, Kenny “Loverboy” Loggins and tons more. “For this game, which is set in our version of modern-day Los Angeles, what was important for us was to capture that feeling of LA and California,” Rockstar soundtrack supervisor Ivan Pavlovich told Rolling Stone. “We approached the radio stations as the musical soundscape [created] as you fly into LA. One of the things we’ve never done in a GTA game before is a pop station; exploring that made so much sense in the context of LA.” (Complex)

Diehard players will also notice the score will play throughout the game during modes like online play.

GTAV will be the first in the series to have its own original score created with the help of Tangerine Dream and Woody Jackson, the genius behind the soundtracks for Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire. “The score plays during missions and the open-world gameplay, and during online play,” Pavlovich said. “It’s completely dynamic, and engineered very similar to what we’ve done in the past with our interactive stem system–it responds to what you’re doing with your character.” (Complex)

Barring any last-minute changes, gamers will hear rappers like A$AP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator and more emcees grace the score.

Grand Theft Auto V will feature new tracks by a notably Los Angeles-centric group of artists including Health (who scored Rockstar’s “Max Payne” game), Off!, Tyler the Creator, Hanni al Khatib and Freddie Gibbs, as well as Atlanta rapper Killer Mike, New York rapper A$AP Rocky, bedroom dance-soul artist Twin Shadow and Brooklyn indie rock band Yeasayer. As well, producers have commissioned scores for some missions. “We thought we could do something interesting if we scored missions in GTA,” series producer and writer Don Houser told the Guardian in the spring, though at that point they’d yet to determine a balance between original music and radio stations. “Obviously we didn’t want to lose radio stations, so we thought we’d do both,” he said. Tech giant Sony stepped forward last week and issued a public statement apologizing to Rockstar fans for soundtrack details leaking.

“Regrettably, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTA V assets. These assets were posted online. We have since removed the digital pre-order file from the PlayStation Store in Europe. We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content. GTA V is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we’re looking forward to a historic launch on September 17.” (Statement)
