Back in 2006, the popular flick made over $11 million at the box office on opening weekend.

The original film is loosely based on the lives and experiences of the film’s producers, Dallas Austin and TLC member Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, growing up in Atlanta. It debuted at number three at the box office in 2006, grossing $11.5 million in its opening weekend. ATL solidified T.I. as a bonafide actor with his portrayal of Rashad, the movie’s lead character. Other stars who appeared in the film included Evan Ross, Big Boi and The Game’s Lauren London. (BET)
