Bang said he is planning to lace Nas with more aggressive-based sounds.

“I just do what I would like to hear from him,” Bang said referring to putting together beats for Nas. “I’m a super Nas fan. I’ve been a Nas fan since he came out. Since the first song. With me being a producer and me having my sound, I would like to hear him on harder beats, more 808-driven, just more aggression. With a Nas record, typically to me, the songs will make the track good. It’s not the track that makes the song good and that’s what I want to bring. I want to bring the track and the song so that you’re not only jamming to the beat with the words on it, but you can jam to the beat and the words and you can jam to the acapella with no beat to it. I think he’s a great songwriter but sometimes his beats aren’t as good as his songs. I want to bring that element where it’s more aggressive, more heavy, something that’s going to pay more attention to Nas in an area where he doesn’t get looked at a lot.” (SOHH)

“Love the Way You Lie” producer Alex da Kid recently told SOHH about befriending Nas and working with him on his new solo album.

“I want to try and keep him, obviously as Nas but just to bring him to a broader audience,” Alex told SOHH. “Try to get him into that rhythmic radio as well as urban and I want to bring him to a broader audience. He’s one of the biggest rappers to ever do it. I definitely want to make sure he goes to a broader audience. Working with an icon like Nas, I definitely would want to make something from scratch, I really haven’t had the chance to think about it because I’ve been so busy but I kinda know where I want to go with it. I definitely want to make something from scratch for Nas.” (SOHH)

Speaking to radio host Tim Westwood earlier this month, Nas revealed a few producers he is looking to add to the follow-up to 2008’s Untitled.

“I’ve been good though, my man [Damian Marley] holds me down — but I’m definitely looking at my solo project as one of the most important records of my life. You know what I mean? I’m happy, I’m happy to be here. I love the state of the game. I love it man…It’s gonna be magic. That’s all I feel. I feel a magic thing happening and brewing. I keep calling it a magic moment, that’s what it’s gonna be. I feel the stuff I’m writing down and the directions I’m thinking about going into, it doesn’t even matter what producers, if it’s Swizz Beatz, if it’s Premier, if it’s Alchemist, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, all of these guys are guys that I love and guys that I’ve been talking to about getting on the project. Kanye actually hit me up and said he wanted to produce the album and RZA.” (“Tim Westwood TV”)

Last May, Nas talked about how he typically compiles producers for his albums.

“Well I have a wish list sometimes or I have a dream list of who I would love to work with and wish they would want to get in the studio and do records or whatever,” Nas said in an interview. “Then I have my own ideas of being a producer. And what happens is a lot of time goes by with me being indecisive so it winds up with me kind of like doing what I have to do really fast because I played around for so long. Then, the deadlines come. But, you never know who has it, everyone’s got a lot of talent. You have Little Brother, you have Drumma Boy. There’s a lot of dudes I like right now. You have DJ Toomp.” (BET)

No further information has been revealed as of now.
