Rap veteran Nas graces the upcoming cover of Complex Magazine, opening up on topics ranging from his stance on Twitter to re-evaulating a woman's worth since divorcing R&B singer Kelis.
Based on an excerpt, Nasty Nas admits he does not allow Twitter chatter to ruffle his feathers.
“I don’t understand how artists get pissed off at people on Twitter. I appreciate a good joke. I mean, who are you? Not to say that people should have the toughest skin, and nothing should bother you… Maybe it’s just my age. I know who I am. I know what I’ve survived, and I know what I’ve done. That shit wasn’t easy. So for someone who doesn’t know anything about that to comment on it, you can’t be mad at them. They don’t know any better.” (Complex)
He also discusses how a woman’s physical appearance is no longer enough to win him over.
“I’m taken aback by the beauty of women. There was a time when I only saw big breasts and thick asses. Now, I see the beauty in the subtleties. Those are even better than the tits and ass. The aesthetics have changed for me. … No disrespect to women when I say bad b*tch, but my definition of a bad b*tch is not always the video vixens. A bad b*tch can be a younger woman, in her early 20s, but wise beyond her years. It could be a woman in her late 30s, who’s cool as h*ll, smart, and has great motherly qualities–or has great motivational skills, or is a powerful mover and shaker in her own career.” (Complex)
Last week, Roc Nation protege J. Cole said he no longer gets down with Twitter.

Although his marital status remains unknown, Nas recently spotted Young Money’s Nicki Minaj a kiss in her new “Right By My Side” music video.
Nicki Minaj has posted the official music video for her brand new single ‘Right By My Side’ which features R&B star Chris Brown as well as hip hop star Nas portraying her boyfriend in the film. The ‘Fly’ star can be seen sharing several intimate moments including a passionate kiss at the end of the film with the rapper – which saw her teaming up once again with director Benny Boom. The singer has a blonde hairstyle throughout the video and also can be seen dancing and joking around with Chris during one scene. (Capital FM)
