Nas Takes Off Kelis’ Wedding Dress On “Life Is Good” Cover

Rap veteran Nas is proving he is a bachelor in the fullest sense on the cover of his upcoming Life Is Good album which features God’s Son holding onto ex-wife Kelis‘ wedding dress.

On the album cover, Nasty Nas is shown dressed up with his ex’s dress resting on his lap.

Nas holds on to a piece of his past on the cover of his new album Life Is Good. The hip-hop veteran is pictured with his ex-wife Kelis’ green wedding dress on his lap on the shocking cover. Kelis left behind the custom-made gown by Matthew Williamson following their divorce in 2010. Due July 17, Nas’ 10th album features the singles “Nasty,” “The Don,” and “Daughters,” with production from Salaam Remi, Hit-Boy, Swizz Beatz, Da Internz, and more. (Rap-Up)

While mum on his 2010 divorce, Nas talked about dishing out money in child support to baby mothers.

“Life is crazy,” the famously private MC said. “I [wound] up paying more money to baby mommas than what some of my rap brothers and sistren make.” At the time, several outlets reported that Kelis was seeking about $45,000 a month in child and spousal support from the father of two, daughter Destiny from a previous relationship and son Knight with the “Bossy” singer. The figure was formally reduced last year by a court to a $25,000 month, but the scrutiny left Nas scarred. “I’ve always been away from too much limelight and that right there put me in your — no one’s exempt from people probing into your life once you get into the game,” he conceded. “So [the divorce] put a lot of my business out there, man. People weren’t thinking I was making that kind of money, and now they knew.” (MTV)

Last year, Kelis spoke on her divorce from the hip-hop mogul.

“I’m not a big regret person. I’ve been divorced, and I can still say I don’t regret it,” she said in an interview. “I’m a big believer that if a bad situation happens, it is a lesson that needs to be learned, just once. My mom told us that when we hit our thirties we’d feel our most beautiful and sexy and smart, and I really do feel like that.” (Showbiz Spy)

In April, the rap veteran announced his long-awaited solo LP’s release date.

“”LIFE IS GOOD” – JULY 17th, 2012!!! #LIFEISGOOD717,” Nas tweeted April 24th.
