Nas Belongs In My Top 5 Dead Or Alive List, Says 50 Cent

G-Unit’s 50 Cent recently dished out his top five favorite hip-hop artists and revealed, despite issues with fellow hip-hop star Nas in the past, God’s Son belongs on his rundown.

Along with dishing out his all-time favorites, Fif admitted rap veteran KRS-One was one of his favorite emcees back in the day.

“Top five favorite rappers, for me, would be artists like KRS-One, Rakim, Biggie, Tupac, one of my favorites too, Nas was one of my favorites early on,” Fif revealed in an interview. “[Favorite childhood artist?] KRS-One because the aggression that he came with, with ‘The Bridge Is Over.’ Like, hip-hop’s always been competitive so it’s always been battling, it’s been a part of the artform and he came in with the kind of energy that was necessary for you to make a statement.” (Larry King Now)

A few years back, Fif discussed his issues with God’s Son.

“You know what me and Nas we was cool we used to be good,” Fif said in a 2005 interview. “I didn’t understand his actions. The first thing that started feeling a little off with him was the Jennifer Lopez sh*t. I had done a record on the Jennifer Lopez album right and this after I got shot this is the first thing I’m doing trying to come back out. Irv [Gotti] was running around calling everybody and saying don’t do business with these guys you do business with him we are not f*cking with you. At the time they were selling records so people weigh there value by what you can do for them and they were leaning towards Irv and them and they actually took me off the record and put Nas on the record cause she was on Columbia and Nas is on Columbia.” (Six Shot)

Back in February, the G-Unit head declared himself worthy of Top 5 Dead or Alive credentials.

“10 years, lets see if I still got it. I’m gonna write a song to night. Ill put it out tomorrow. SMSaudio,” he tweeted February 6th.

“It’s gonna be a south side joint. I’m a vet, I do this when I want to. IM TOP 5 DEAD OR A LIVE. SMSaudio”

“Oh it’s gonna be hard “@313Eastside313: @etienne93516592 RT & #support lets get the hardest record 2 … ” (50 Cent’s Twitter)

Mobb Deep’s Prodigy previously crowned 50 in SOHH’s Top 5 Dead Or Alive list.

“I would have to say 50 Cent. Son is real nice with his sh*t. When it comes to 50, he just says some sh*t that I can really relate to. I can really relate to his sh*t. He almost reminds me of myself, how we rhyme. Crazy sh*t. You listen to him and say, “D*mn, he just said some sh*t.” I can relate to that. Sh*t from the hood and what goes on. That’s my type of sh*t. It’s real sh*t and he’s not playing. He means that sh*t.” (SOHH Top 5 Dead Or Alive)
