CNN's N.O.R.E. has stepped forward to explain a new photo circling the Internet today (May 17) of him next to a chiseled-out and recently released Ja Rule.
According to N.O., he had no idea how widespread the shot of Ja would become after posting it to his social media outlets.
“We all just took a flick and I didn’t realize how many people would actually post it on their website and report as news, because to me it’s not really news it’s just me going to see a friend and showing support,” N.O.R.E. said in an interview. “I actually didn’t get a chance to visit him [while he was in prison], but I made it my business that when he got home I was gonna get on the first flight and go check him out.” (MTV)
The Queens, New York rapper also said Rule’s new body is all courtesy of a serious workout regiment he followed behind bars.
“He was on his workout sh– heavy, that’s all he kept talking about,” Noreaga told us. “He told me he got a workout plan. And why not? I figure I’d try it as well. … I think he ain’t lose a step. I see he’s resetting up his Pro Tools [recording software] and his establishment and I think you’re gonna hear some bars from him soon.” (MTV)
In the new photo, Rule is clearly shown with a black tank top, bulging muscles and nowhere near any prison facility.
Ja Rule returned home last week after being released from prison, serving a two-year bid for weapons possession and a following concurrent bid for tax evasion. Earlier today, N.O.R.E. tweeted a photo of Ja posing his new brolic look. As we’ve seen in recent years, it looks like jail keeps rappers fit. (Miss Info TV)
Not only the first to show off Ja’s new look, N.O. announced his release a couple weeks ago.
“Welcome home @Ruleyork,” N.O.R.E. tweeted May 7th, referencing Ja Rule’s Twitter account.
