Taking to Twitter, Mystikal told fans goodbye and also revealed plans to drop new music over the summer.

“Thinking of dropping my first single from my mixtape tomorrow…,” he tweeted late Sunday night.

“It’s only fitting… I’ve been working hard to put this thing together for y’all…”

“#MystikalMonday #MystikalMonday #MystikalMonday #MystikalMonday #MystikalMonday #MystikalMonday #MystikalMonday #MystikalMonday”

“Turning myself in tomorrow… All my really fans hold me down! #81days #81days #81days #81days #81days #81days #81days #81days #81days”

“Dropping music videos and the mixtape all in the next #81days for y’all”

“The MixTape: #Origins 7/30 …”

“My last tweet is going to be the song “Bullsh*t” from my mixtape… The first #MystikalMonday” (Mystikal’s Twitter)

Last week, Mystikal talked about his mental state preparing for the bid.

“Disappointed isn’t the word for it — ashamed,” Mystikal tells Billboard when asked how he’s feeling about the new jail sentence. “It’s hard to show up. If I stole your money and I gotta come face you again and you ask me about the money, it’s gonna be hard for me to face you in the eye. So the proof is in the pudding. Everything I was doing, the 81 days was right there riding with me — in the SUV, come on, who’s that? My 81 days. Everywhere I went, it was keeping me in check, and it’s a fight. I can tell myself all kinds of things, I can sit there and mope, or I can get out and thank those fans the way I’m supposed to, the way they deserve to be thanked. So of course I am.” (Billboard)

The rapper’s Cash Money boss, Birdman, recently took an upbeat approach to Mystikal’s jail woe.

“Sh*t happens, bruh. All I can do and all we can do as a brand is just support him. When a n*gga doing time, it’s important that families be there,” Birdman said in an interview. “That’s when you see who means something to you in life, when you down. We gon’ be there with him. We been there before. We know how that go. We do as much music as we can before he go, if he have to go, but besides that, when he come home, it’s right back at it. The same day that concrete touch, the same day we putting out music.” (Complex)

The Cash Money artist’s legal woes became publicized last month.

Rapper Mystikal will be going back behind bars for three months because of a probation violation. Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was released from a Louisiana prison in 2010 after serving six years for sexual battery and extortion. He’ll be returning to jail May 14. On Monday, state District Judge Tony Marabella added the extra time as a condition of the 41-year-old Tyler’s five-year probation in the extortion case because he was arrested in February on a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse battery. Prosecutor Sue Bernie told The Advocate Tyler violated his probation, which called for him to remain arrest- and conviction-free. Tyler’s attorney says Marabella ordered Tyler to spend another 90 days in jail but is giving him credit for the nine days he was detained after his arrest. (Washington Post)
