Hot 97 radio veteran Mister Cee came through on a weekend promise made by the station today (May 6) by coming forward to speak on his bust last week on a prostitution charge and revealing his sexuality.
Cee appeared on Monday’s “Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg” morning show to set the record straight.
“I am not gay,” Cee said in the interview. “Thursday night, Friday morning, I was approached by a female undercover cop. A female, Latino, undercover cop. Not a male cop. The female undercover cop, I have her badge number. So I know who it is. Why did the story first start off on Saturday, because I think everything kind of first jumped off on Saturday with the first story. If you do your diligence and you do your research, the first story that came out, in the Daily News was undercover, female officer. Then, from out of nowhere, it changed into male undercover officer. … I can’t answer why it changed from that. But there is enough information out there, available, where one day it said female officer and it changed. … The incidents that happened in the past with me, the three incidents or whatever you want to say, there was one person brung up in those three instances that was a male. You never heard anybody else’s name being brought up in any other incident — that male person put out two different videos. One video saying, ‘I don’t know Mister Cee, I never met him, the only time I ever seen him was when I was locked up in a cell with him. While Cee denied having any interest in same-sex relationships, he did admit an addiction to prostitution.
“Yes I do,” Cee added when asked if he likes prostitutes. “I have engaged with prostitutes a lot in my lifetime as well as strippers. I have tricked on strippers, many a times. And I’m going to get into why I do that or what makes me do that, we’ll get into that a little bit later.” (“Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg Show”)

Popular Hot 97 deejay “Mister Cee” was busted trying to pick up a male prostitute in Brooklyn, cop sources said. But Cee, 46, whose real name is Calvin LeBrun, didn’t know that the gigolo he approached at Madison St. and Broadway in Bushwick just before midnight on Thursday was really an undercover cop, the sources said. Back in June 2011, Cee pleaded guilty to a prostitution charge.
Cee, 44, whose real name is Calvin LeBrun, pleaded guilty to a charge of loitering for the purpose of engaging in a prostitution offense. He and his much younger companion, Lawrence Campbell, 20, were busted March 30 at 4 a.m. at Watts and West streets. He was ordered to complete three months, or 12 sessions, of counseling with a doctor, officials said. (New York Daily News)
