After blessing Kanye West‘s new Cruel Summer compilation album, Pastor Ma$e is back at it with an upcoming collaboration alongside Bad Boy Records’ French Montana‘s Excuse My French debut.
According to French, hip-hop fans can look forward to the ex-Bad Boy rapper laying down something special for his long-awaited LP.
That’s not all: French also got his Bad Boy boss Diddy to contribute the long player’s intro. Even former Bad Boy recording artist and sometimes-minster Ma$e joined in on the action. “He just blessed the album. I needed his blessings on the album,” French said, laughing. For his first major-label shot, French wanted to do the unexpected. “Everybody expects the single to be me, Wayne, Ross,” he said, noting that he does have collaborations with them, but other stuff in store as well. “I just want to do something different for my next joint.” (MTV)
Addtional guest features include hip-hop heavyweights Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Drake and more.
French Montana is gearing up to the release of his debut album, Excuse My French. Originally slated to drop this summer, the LP arriving via Bad Boy Records/MMG is now completed according to the Bronx rapper. Supported by the single “Pop That” with Drake, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross, French revealed on MTV’s RapFix Live that both Ross and Weezy return for a second time on a song titled “Marble Floors.” You can expect a classic ‘No Way Out’ Diddy on the album’s intro, along with previously confirmed appearances from Wiz Khalifa and Wale. Harlem rap newcomer Ca$hflow recently talked to SOHH about Ma$e staying hot since returning to the hip-hop scene earlier this year.
“He’s focused right now,” Ca$hflow told SOHH when asked about Sauce Money‘s comments about Ma$e and how determined he is to put out new music. “Everybody’s seen him going in and out but right now, he’s on that Kanye West Cruel Summer G.O.O.D. Music album, I see the focus and hunger in him right now. Hopefully he can keep it up but right now, he’s definitely focused.” (SOHH)
Last week, Montana promised his debut would stand by itself amongst its regional competition.
“Dis album is da best thing to come out da east coast in a decade I did it for all my n*ggaz dat couldn’t be here #realn*ggaz#excusemyfrench,” he tweeted September 12th.
