Michael Jackson
Famous pop star Michael Jackson is reportedly suffering from a rare and potentially fatal lung condition.
According to New York’s Daily News, the Grammy winning singer has been diagnosed with Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency and is going to require an emergency transplant operation. Best selling biographer Ian Halperin claims Jackson has secretly withheld his health condition as it worsened.
“He’s had it for years but it’s gotten worse,” Halperin told In Touch magazine. “He needs a lung transplant but may be too weak to go through with it.”
The 50 year-old performer reportedly is also suffering from other health problems leaving him in critical conditions.
“He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping,” Halperin added. “The vision in his left eye is 95 percent gone.”
While no official word from Jackson or his rep has yet to be released, brother Jermaine Jackson recently told Fox News “He’s not doing so well right now. This isn’t a good time.”
In related news, Mike is being sued by the protagonist of his 1983 hit record “Billie Jean,” by Billie Jean Jackson for $1 billion.
According to Access Hollywood, Bille Jean, believed to be Lavon Powlis, claims to legally be married to the singer and is also requesting joint custody of MJ’s 6 year-old son, Blanket.
Billie Jean is known for various encounters and lawsuits against him including filing a $150 million paterneity lawsuit in 1987 claiming Mike was responsible for fathering three of her kids but refused to pay child support. The suit was later dropped.
No official word on either a settlement being made or trial date announcement.
