Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is living up to his team's name by warming up the Internet with a photo of his toenails painted black.
D-Wade posted the photo to his Instagram page late Sunday (July 8) night.
Everyone’s feet take a beating in the summer. We can’t even imagine what it’s like for the feet of professional athletes — let alone an NBA champion like Dwyane Wade. So we totally understand if the dude wants to pamper himself a little, now that the season’s over, and get a nice pedicure. We like to imagine that he and gf Gabrielle Union went together. But we’re on the fence about his decision to paint his toenails. Maybe he’s got a couple of bruised-black toes and wants to hide them under this attractive polish? “Matte black paint… RockStar ish,” Wade wrote as a caption to the above Instagram. Does he mean “rock star ish,” or “rock-star-ish”? And is this all just a late entry into our list of the 25 most scandalous celebrity Twitpics of the year so far? We’ll file this away for consideration at the end of 2012. In the meantime, counting down the minutes until other guys jump on this trend. Let’s get some nail art in there, too, boys! (VH1)
Recently, NFL star Chad Ochocinco made headlines after painting his fingernails.
Several weeks back, Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson posted a similar photo where his nails were painted. I’ve never had a problem with a man who goes to the nail salon for a little ‘man’icure, but I think that this might be a bit much for my liking. Ladies, what say you….would you get with a man who had a serious nail polish fetish!? Fellas, will you be rockin’ this look with your sandals this summer? (Miss Jia)
Last month, D-Wade and his Miami Heat teammates celebrated winning the NBA Finals in South Beach.
LeBron James is gonna be one exhausted (and hungover) NBA champion today … ’cause the guy partied his face off ’til 6 AM … and TMZ has the pics. James and the rest of the world champion Miami Heat hit up the LIV Miami nightclub at the Fontainebleau Hotel … where LeBron was drinking out of a 15-liter bottle of Ace of Spades champagne … which usually run around $75k. Sources at the club tell us … LeBron grabbed the mic … and rapped along with the music all night long … while a bunch of his teammates puffed away on cigars. At one point, ‘Bron rapped along with the song “Riot” by 2 Chainz while LMFAO rocked out on a nearby stage. (TMZ)
Despite his respect for them, New York native N.O.R.E. recently discussed his issues celebrating the Heat’s win.
“Nah man, I’m such a hater,'” he said. “Once the Knicks got out, I was rooting for OKC [The Oklahoma City Thunder]. It was hard going to bars out here [in Miami]. Don’t get me wrong, congrats to LeBron James, congrats to Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem, but the New York in me wouldn’t allow me to cheer for them.” (XXL Mag)
