Bleek said despite some choice comments, he still has nothing but love for the incarcerated rapper.

“The last time I spoke to Beans was probably three years ago, four years ago, and from what I know from that conversation, everything was cool. We still peoples, that’s my brother,” Bleek said in an interview. “But then as you know, he did a few interviews and things were said a little different. But I don’t take nothing personal, because at the end of the day, I know him personally so I know that wasn’t the real him speaking, so I don’t take it personally, you feel me? As for him recently getting locked up and all of that, I just feel it’s a shame. So much talent is being wasted. I feel bad for him, for real, because that’s my dude and I know how talented he is and I know the potential, what he possess, and it’s just going to waste.” (Montreality)

Prior to beginning a two-year jail sentence for tax evasion, Sigel denied Bleek claiming he previously reached out to him.

“Memphis Bleek ain’t never reach out to me or try to reach out to me. I brought Memphis Bleek to my neighborhood. Memphis Bleek been to my mother’s house. He ate from my mother’s food. So, if he wanted to reach out to me, I ain’t a hard person to find. I ain’t a hard person to find at all. But, I don’t have no gripe with Bleek. There’s no gripe with Bleek. That’s like my brother. We came into the game together. We grew up together in the music business. I don’t have no gripe with him.” (XXL Mag)

Earlier the same week, Bleek said he had tried to contact Beans and other former Roc-A-Fella rappers.

“I speak to Young Chris, I speak to Freeway here and there,” Bleek revealed on “RapFix Live.” “I was in touch with Neef Buck not too long ago. I tried to reach out to [Beanie Sigel], but you know Beans got a lot of personal things he’s dealing with. But at the end of the day, I’ma say it and you hear the words from my mouth: Them is all my dudes. No matter what went down, we fam. We came up together. It’s almost like a cousin. You and your cousin can fight, but at the end of the day, y’all still family.” (MTV)

Beans previously taunted Bleek’s position considering his relationship to Jay-Z.

“I mean to me right now, that’s Jay young boy, that’s his lil’ man,” Beanie said in an interview. “Me, honestly, I think Bleek is happy how things are right now. Because now he really gets to be Jay’s lil’ man and it’s evident, you can see it. It’s like he’s the last one who survived. He weathered the storm but the storm didn’t start with the breakup, the storm started when Beanie Sigel got signed to the Roc. He was coming of age when I came. [Laughs.] He’s still coming of age.” (2DopeBoyz)
