This week, Black’s attorney Raven Ramona Liberty came forward to speak out on his publicized jail case.

“I have the utmost faith in God that he will be out on the fourth and will start the tour,” Liberty said, adding that the rapper is only 19 years old. “Fortunately he has the money to pay for attorneys. But this happens all the time to young men in his situation. I don’t think sitting in jail is the correct punishment.” (Bossip)

Earlier in the week, reports emerged about Black getting found guilty for violating the terms of his house arrest.

Judge Thomas M. Lynch made the ruling just after 6 p.m. Wednesday. But any decision as to whether the rapper would face further, if any, jail time would have to wait until another hearing on May 4. Black, whose given name is Dieuson Octave, is in a downtown Fort Lauderdale courtroom for the third day of his probation violation hearing, which began just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. (Sun-Sentinel)

A few days ago, rappers Lil Scrappy and Future reacted to Kevin Gates receiving a 30-month prison sentence for a gun conviction.
