Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill's name is being dragged into a publicized pre-2014 BET Awards party this weekend after it came to an end with a stabbing. #Danger
Details of the near-fatal attack hit the Internet Sunday (June 29), hours before the awards ceremony.
There was a stabbing last night at a BET Awards pre-party filled with famous rappers … somebody was seriously injured — and we got crazy footage as it all was going down. Law enforcement says a man in his 20s was stabbed inside Lure Nightclub on the dance floor Saturday night after a fight broke out … and in the video, he’s seen laying on the curb waiting for help while a panicked friend yells at cops to hurry the ambulance. Although hosted by Meek, the event had a star-studded guest list which included rap stars Game and Ma$e.
We’re told the man was rushed to Cedars-Sinai with two stab wounds in the stomach and he’s currently in stable condition. The party was hosted by rapper Meek Mill … The Game, Lil Boosie, Mase and actress Kyla Pratt were also there. (TMZ)
Following the controversy, Meek spoke out on making a BET Awards pre-show appearance.
“I only did pre-show for the love of #BET “but I’m not pre-show material” #THENEWGENERATION #THEFLYEST,” Meek tweeted June 29. (Meek Mills’ Twitter)
