Maybach Music Group's Meek Mill has reportedly passed some court-ordered etiquette classes and is taking a huge jump forward by hiring a teacher to help fine-tune his manners.

According to reports, Meek will have his fine dining skills touched up courtesy of a woman from the Madison School of Etiquette and Protocol.

Mill was ordered to take the etiquette classes last year after violating his probation in his 2008 gun possession case. The judge said Mill needed to refine his use of social media and learn to behave. According to Meek’s lawyer, the rapper passed the courses with flying colors — including classes about dressing for success and proper social media communication — but enough wasn’t enough. We’re told Meek has now hired Gail (from the Madison School of Etiquette and Protocol) and she tells us, Meek wants her to to school him on fine dining skills, particularly of the international variety … because he travels so much. Meek jumped at the opportunity to poke fun at his etiquette classes on Twitter last September.

“I graduated etiquette class….. Now I can spit these bars more properly!,” Meek tweeted September 7.

The MMG rapper appeared in court last summer to go over his progress.

Gail Madison, head of the Madison School of Etiquette and Protocol in Huntingdon Valley, gave a glowing review of her one and only four-hour session with Williams, whom she said was a willing pupil. “I felt very certain at the end of the four hours that he had a firm grasp of the information,” Madison said, describing a list of topics, including handshaking, eye contact, dressing for success, international protocol, domestic behavior and impression management. Madison said she and Williams talked in-depth about being responsible and separating his personal life from his public identity. Williams, who received a certificate for the session, also received a 119-page binder that addresses how to deal with challenges specific to the music industry. (Philly)

Despite the progression, Judge Genece Brinkley did not give Meek permission to relocate down South.

While giving Williams some leeway, Brinkley denied a request from his attorney Gary Silver to allow the North Philadelphia native to relocate to Miami, home of his record label, Maybach Music Group. His next scheduled court date is Jan. 31. “I’m looking forward to getting back to seeing you every six months,” Brinkley said. Williams has been on probation since 2009, when he was paroled after spending about six months in jail for a 2008 conviction for drug dealing and gun possession. Williams said the training “made sense” and that he learned a lot. (Philly)

Back in December 2012, Mill received some bad news about how much he could travel in light of legal issues.

Williams, a 25-year-old North Philly street rapper with a growing reputation as the “next big thing,” was supposed to be in Los Angeles on Wednesday to appear on the Conan O’Brien show, his last U.S. stop before ending 2012 in Africa with shows in Lagos, Nigeria, and Libreville, Gabon. But Williams is on probation for a 2008 gun-and-drug conviction for which he needs to periodically appear in Philadelphia courts. Judge Genece Brinkley’s ruling today ensures his tour will be limited to the streets of North Philadelphia. At issue was a request by Williams to lift a ban on travel for concert and other related appearances. (Philly)
