Maybach Music Group head Rick Ross jumped onto social media outlets Twitter and Instagram to alert Meek’s supporters of his status a few weeks ago.

Young Money’s Drake and Lil Wayne performed Meek’s Dreams & Nightmares “Intro” track in Philadelphia over the summer.

At the Philly stop on their Drake vs. Lil’ Wayne tour, the two Young Moneycohorts paid tribute to hometown rap hero Meek Mill, who is currently serving time for a probation violation. During their nod to the Dreamchasers MC, they played the intro from his Dreams and Nightmares mixtape, sending the crowd into a frenzy. (VIBE)

Despite in-person support from DJ Khaled and his crew, Meek could not escape the penal system on August 18.

After a 90-minute hearing in a packed courtroom that included DJ Khaled and members of Meek’s DreamChasers, Maybach Music Group and Atlantic Records teams, the judge shot down the appeal — which could have set the rapper free as early as today. In addition, the judge demanded that Mill, born Robert Williams, completes anger management and parenting classes, as well as seek drug and alcohol treatment before he is let out. If the “Ima Boss” MC doesn’t complete the three programs, the judge said he will have to do the entire six months of his sentence. (MTV)

    • no the real question is why the bs judicial system throws ppl in jail for bs probation violations that border on even being called a “violation” and waste taxpayers money with the main goal in mind to build more prisons and house more prisoners

      • That’s unconstructive indeed. In the end it’s the individual that fucked up though. You shouldnt even be on probation.

      • Is he really in jail for probation violation . The judicial system IS really messed up because they just gave a white woman probation when she got drunk driving and killed her son in an accident . SAD ! Because when it’s them OH’ they will suffer enough killing their own child When many people don’t even lay down and let things bother them like that excepting it IS what IS . And still get a free ride with there excuses that drug and alcohol IS a sickness when this woman probably don’t even have a problem but got drunk that day. But even if so she should have been held accountable.
