After downplaying the K. Dot feud, Meek spoke on hip-hop artists proclaiming themselves to be the greatest.

“A lot of people, they be takin’ it the wrong way. Me and Kendrick, we smile and laugh about it. I was just talking about, ‘I’ma show you who the king around this area right here [is],'” Meek said referring to a tweet he shot at Lamar a few days ago. “No negative stuff, straight hip-hop. … The hottest person right now I think is Drake, of course, but everybody king in they own way. Kendrick might say he king lyrically, I might say I’m the king of the street era, raw hip-hop type. It’s different kings in different situations, so it depends on what you’re talking about.” (Power 99)

A few days ago, Mill teased Kendrick with a tweet about his Philadelphia radio station’s annual Powerhouse concert.

“Aye @kendricklamar ima show you who king on this side at powerhouse Friday! #philly ????,” Meek tweeted October 23. (Meek Mill’s Twitter)

Lamar has since responded to Meek’s remark and bowed down to him owning the night.

“Philly was A1 at Power house homie. Had a ball. @MeekMill You showed out on me in yo city huh. I seen it G Phonk. A1.,” Lamar tweeted October 26. (Kendrick Lamar’s Twitter)

R&B singer Chris Brown, Wale, Big Sean and plenty of other high-profile artists hit the stage last night in Philly.

Hip-hop and R&B’s biggest stars came together for Power 99?s Powerhouse 2013 in Philadelphia on Friday. The star-studded concert included performances from Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, K. Michelle, Mario, Ace Hood, Sevyn Streeter, and Philly’s own Meek Mill. The MMG rapper put on for his hometown by bringing out Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, and French Montana during his headlining set. (Rap-Up)
