Meek Mill Defends Riding W/ The Boss, “Rick Ross Got The Whole United States In A Frenzy”

Newly signed Maybach Music Group artist Meek Mill has defended his decision to ride alongside Rick Ross' label and explained what his experience has been like thus far.

In Meek’s eyes, Ross is one of the biggest brands in hip-hop right now.

“I’m doing my thing in my area, Wale doing his thing in his area, Rick Ross got the whole United States in a frenzy, why not team up,” Meek explained in an interview. “It’s like the Miami Heat, the Big Three. Once they get they things together — they going to be unstoppable. At the end of the day we going to be unstoppable ’cause we coming to take a lot of rappers out the game man. Coming to spit straight fire…I ain’t been to sleep five days. Me, Rozay, Wale, we been running around grinding. Then we just did like three videos in the last 24 hours. You grind hard your shine hard. At the end of the day we trying to win.” (RapFix)

Ross broke the news of Meek’s Maybach Music signing last Tuesday (February 8).

Meek also confirmed the deal via his own Twitter account.

“First down……touch down play coming next!!!!!,” he tweeted. “had 2 take my talents 2 south beach!!! mamamamammaybach!!”

Following the news, Meek opened up about his new association with Ross.

“I’m feelin’ good — feelin’ great, man,” Meek said in an interview. “That’s why Twitter’s a good thing. You let people know what’s going on live and direct. Personally, I knew probably about a month ago. But I got a team [and] we had to all come to an agreement and find out how we was gonna do this and how we was gonna make this happen. We sat down, everybody got behind my decision, and we ready to roll.” (XXL Mag)
