Along with a few promises, Master also described himself as the best “hustler” in the hip-hop game.

“What’s up y’all, it’s the boss of all bosses, on a private plane right now,” Master P said in a video. “No Limit film, coming from the projects to be able to do what we do, it’s definitely a blessing. I thank the man up above. It’s my life, it’s a nice life, it’s a beautiful life. … I know a lot of y’all thought it was over for me. I just had to dig up the little money I had, take over this sh*t again. Never count me out. I am the best hustler in the game and I am the boss of all bosses.” (No Limit)

A few months back, Memphis rapper Lil Wyte named Master P in his SOHH Top 5 Dead or Alive list.

“Master P. Definitely. Master P hustled and grinded. His No Limit Records was dropping like two albums a month. At least I know for a fact that south of the Mason-Dixon line, everyone was saying, ‘Uhhhh, uhhhhh. Naaaa naaa naaaaa.’ They had Silkk the Shocker, Mia X, Mystikal and everyone. He’s one of the godfathers to how Southern rappers do it these days.” (SOHH Top 5 Dead Or Alive)

Back in 2009, the rap veteran spoke to SOHH about President Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize and how it influenced him.

“Oh man, that’s like the greatest thing as far as being an African American and watching your president, and he’s African American, it just makes you feel proud,” P explained. “He motivates me, he helps me understand the changes I made in my life and he gives me even more hope that I can do better. I can conquer Corporate America now. I can build a legacy now to where I want people to remember me for being the next [BET founder] Bob Johnson to being a part of African American media and my goals are so big that it makes me realize I can reach them. Having an African American president and having him win an award as he’s won right now, it’s incredible. It definitely gives me hope and allows me to tell my kids ‘You can be president’ and be proud to say it because African American people can reach that. It’s reachable now.” (SOHH)
