Rap mogul Master P has finally broken his silence on making gossip headlines last week after being flash mobbed at a Santa Monica, California restaurant.
According to Percy Miller, he thought the flash mob was all a part of some big televised prank.
“I just want to thank my loved ones, my friends, the foundation and everyone that put that together but you know, Ashton Kutcher always be playing those games. … I know it took a lot of people to do that, I love y’all for that but I didn’t know. I thought I was on MTV’s ‘Punk’d.’ I don’t really like surprises because you don’t really know. You don’t really know? But I just wanted to thank everybody that put that together. That was love. Nobody really did that for me before.” (TMZ)
Buzz behind the flash mob performance-gone-wrong sprouted online last week.
As he left the restaurant, a woman connected to the event chased after P and begged him to come back … saying, “Don’t leave … it’s your birthday.” The woman also told P the name of the person who organized the event in the hopes P would have a change of heart … but P didn’t care, and continued to storm off. On his way out, we commented to P, “That didn’t go like they planned, huh?” His response — “Nah, it did not.” So, why was P so pissed off? We’re trying to find out … maybe he just isn’t a fan of Psy? The rapper’s son Romeo hopped onto Twitter to give his take on the unexpected flash mob incident.
“Just got flashed mobbed on at our meeting at the beach w/pops @MasterPMiller lol. Someone def.planned this! Too many paparazzi,” Romeo tweeted April 25th. (Romeo’s Twitter)
A couple years ago, Bad Boy Records rapper Machine Gun Kelly found himself in handcuffs after taking part in a flash mob demonstration.
Cleveland rapper “Machine Gun Kelly” was arrested Saturday after inciting a flash mob at South Park Mall, Strongsville police said. Officers responded to the mall after being tipped off about a possible flash mob taking place at 5 p.m. Although he was asked by the SPD to refrain from standing on a table, Baker did it anyway, sending his die-hard fans into a frenzy. A YouTubevideo shows the rapper jumping up on a table with a megaphone in the food court, but just as soon as he was up, police officers yanked him down. (WJW-TV)
