Can I be completely honest? I think the whole social media thing takes away from the mystique of the art, and the imagination of the audience.

I feel like you can see everything and you are so connected with the artist, you don’t imagine what the atmosphere was like anymore. You don’t have to go and look in the album credits anymore. I’m that type of fan, I’m speaking for my demographic.

Like I was the kid who opened up the package about where it was recorded, what they sampled, I was that kid. I don’t know about this whole new era. It takes away from that, it dilutes the art form and the whole artistry of it. But it’s necessary in this new genre of technology and social media.

I have a love-hate relationship with social media, more love than hate. -as told to SOHH writer Nikita Rathod
