Admitting he was surprised at X’s claims of being “saved,” Mase described his reaction to learning of the rapper’s release from Arizona’s Maricopa County Jail.

“I’m speechless man,” Mase explained in an interview. “This is a dream come true. When I wrote the first book that I wrote, I wrote in there that I had this dream and this vision and they was asking me what kind of dream church I would have and what type of people would be there, and he was one of the first people’s names I put in the book. This is monumental, I’m very speechless and very humble…It’s like when you do something, it’s one thing to touch a thousand people in San Francisco, it’s another thing to touch a thousand people in San Jose, but when you can touch people who were like you were, that’s the ultimate award.” (Strawberry In The Morning)

X spoke about seeking a righteous path and the former Bad Boy star’s guidance.

“I feel great man, I feel good man,” X said over the phone. “Doing a lot of praying, lot of people been praying for me. Wanna thank everybody praying for me, all the prayers worked. Yeah man, get back to this music thing. The movies, I got the industry waiting right now. But I gotta say it’s through the grace of God that I made it through this thing, because I’ve been to jail before, jail ain’t really nothing, but here in Arizona is a whole ‘nother situation man. They feed you two times a day, they got you wearing stripes in pink. It’s reckless man. I did some soul searching when I was in there, I actually read the whole Bible when I was in jail…Mase is making a change and it’s definitely for the better, I’m a living example of that.” (Strawberry In The Morning)

Both Jadakiss and Styles P previously talked about X’s prison sentence when they were in AZ for the NBA All-Star break last February.

“I might just stay here an extra day and go visit the dawg,” Jada said in an interview referring to X. “Put some money on his books…I can visit him, man….That’s my big homie right there.” “You know I can’t visit,” Styles joking said. “I love you dawg, but he know, I can’t do it…Police in there and everybody, leave him alone. He’s just a man at the end of the day like everybody else. If he’s a rapper, that’s just his job. Just treat him like every other man. It’s all love.” (101.5 Jamz)

X has reportedly begun a multi-appearance tour which began last Thursday (May 14).

His touring schedule will be later this fall; however he will be making appearances at certain concerts and special events to let his fans know that the DOG is Back! Dates include: Phoenix (May 14-15), LasVegas (May 16-17), Los Angeles (May 21-22), Albuquerque (May 23), Denver (May 24), Atlanta (May 29), Houston (May 30) and Dallas (May 31). (Hip Hop Press)
