Roc Nation’s Jay Z is giving his personal opinion to rap star Big Sean. The Detroit native revealed this weekend that Young Hov is checking out his upcoming untitled release.
Sean went to Instagram Saturday (August 27) and broke the news of Jay’s involvement in previewing his highly-anticipated LP.
Last May, B-I talked about putting together the follow-up to last year’s Dark Sky Paradise follow-up.
“When I first started making my album, I was just making music off feeling, not thinking about it. Then I started thinking, ‘What the f*ck do I want to say? What do I want to do now?’ I came up with something that struck a chord with me,” Sean said in an interview. “One of the things I talk about on the album is being a better son. I would talk to my mom and she’d say, ‘I haven’t talked to you in weeks.’ I realized you gotta embrace your business and your work but you can’t let it take over you.” (XXL Mag)
In April, Sean thanked fans for helping make his Dark Sky Paradise album reach platinum status.
Back in February, Sean dished on putting together his Dark Sky Paradise follow-up release.
“It’s a lot of new music that’s done, but we’re just getting it right. It’s my best work so far. I feel like on my last album, that’s the most comfortable I’ve been. This one is taking that to another level. The concept is crazy. The songs are crazy, and I’ve got a surprise, too. I’ve got a real surprise coming up soon.” (Real 92.3)
