Mason Betha managed to snag singer Eric Bellinger for his unexpected joint track.

It’s really no surprise that Ma$e’s first single in years is lady-friendly. Recruiting singer/songwriter Eric Bellinger for the hook, the Harlem rapper drops a tribute to the independent women with “Nothing.” Produced by Nic Nac, the song is Mason Betha’s latest drop as he gears up for the release of his fourth album, Now We Even. File it under “summer soundtrack.” (VIBE)

Recently, G-Unit head 50 Cent revealed Diddy wanted too much money for him to hand Ma$e over in the mid-2000’s.

“I was like, ‘What you looking for for that?’ He said two million. I’m like, ‘Ma$e ain’t worth two million with two million in his pocket. Are you crazy?’ This is right before we went on that [G-Unit] tour. The principal is more important. … He was a million over what Dep was supposed to [make]. He could have made a million dollars out of it but he’s saying two million. … We could have did it for the million dollars. He could have got that back.” (“Funkmaster Flex Show”)

Earlier this year, the ex-Bad Boy artist, claimed he made more bucks than any other former labelmate during his run with Puff.

“I’m the only artist that actually got paid by Puff, like really paid,” Ma$e said in an interivew. “Puff would tell you I got really, really paid. Puff wanna give me another check and I’m going to take it.” (Hot 107.5)

In January, Mason Betha and his former Bad Boy boss reunited in Los Angeles for a performance.

The 90’s were on and popping again Friday night in L.A. during Dr. Dre’s pre-Grammy Party … but nothing was cooler than Puff Daddy reuniting on stage with his former protege Ma$e. Diddy and Ma$e killed a stellar set of a songs including “Been Around the World” and “All About the Benjamins” at the Belasco Theatre … but their rendition of “‘Mo Money, ‘Mo Problems” was off the charts. Eminem hit the stage later in the evening with Dr. Dre … who also reunited with Blackstreet to perform “No Diggity.” (TMZ)
