Young Money president Mack Maine and Cash Money’s Bow Wow have addressed Lil Wayne‘s current condition after experiencing a seizure last week and ripped gossip-driven website TMZ during an appearance on BET’s “106 & Park.”
After letting the world know Weezy F. Baby is in good health, Maine wasted no time going in on the popular media outlet.
“Just to clear the air about Wayne. Wayne is great, Wayne is in great health. God is good,” Maine said. “I wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t in great health. Honestly. He’s watching games right now, he’s enjoying life, he’s ready to get home, talk to his kids, chill with his kids and come back for the fans and we appreciate all the prayers. … The blog with the three letters, y’all wack. I just got to say that live on-air. You need to be shut down. Don’t play with people’s health.” (“106 & Park”)
Cash Money artist and “106 & Park” co-host Bow Wow also expressed his problems with sites like TMZ trying to cash-in with headline-generating stories regardless of their authenticity.
“We also want to shout-out Tip too for going so hard for the squad,” Bow Wow said, referencing T.I.’s explosive comments toward gossip-driven website TMZ. “You got a lot of bloggers nowadays that just like to put out a lot of information just for their own benefit, to bring hits to their website and what not just to sell out foolishness. So, anytime you want to know anything about me, Wayne, Mack, Drizzy, Nicki, Birdman, the whole entire family, y’all got to hear it come from our mouth. Don’t listen to the press, they be feeding y’all a lot of nonsense. You can’t listen to them, man. It comes from the source, and y’all know that. If it doesn’t come from us, it’s wack, it’s nonsense.” (“106 & Park”)
Last weekend, Grand Hustle head T.I. aired out TMZ over Twitter and during a South By Southwest show in Austin, Texas.
“And I want to say this, man,” Tip told a screaming crowd at SXSW. “One love to my n*gga Lil Wayne. I spoke with my n*gga, he aight, man. TMZ’s some real f*ck n*ggas for putting that motherf*cking bullsh*t out, yo! He aight. Keep him in your prayers, he’s going to be back turning up on them suckers in a minute. Let’s ride!” (Midwest Leak)
Last night (March 19), Wayne hopped onto his Twitter to thank fans for their support.
“Watching Highly Questionable on ESPN2 & Papi got me kry’n laughing in dis b!t[#,” Wayne tweeted March 19th.
“I’m feeling a lot better and again thk u all for ur love and prayers. It was truly felt…pause” (Lil Wayne’s Twitter)
