Now months away from his long-awaited Bad Boy debut dropping, MGK said he is focused on the music industry.

Thank God Machine Gun Kelly chose rap. If it weren’t for the beats and rhymes, the Cleveland, Ohio, spitter wouldn’t have linked with Diddy, but could’ve become a bad boy of a different kind. “If I wasn’t an artist, I’ll probably be in jail,” MGK told MTV. “Probably. I make a lot of dumb decisions in life.” Luckily, MGK spends most of his time spitting bars than behind them, and that’s why he was chosen to represent the MTV Jams’ Fab 5 class of 2012. (MTV)

No stranger to jail, Kells got arrested earlier this year in Florida.

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly’s tour took an unexpected stop early this morning — to jail … after he was busted by police in Florida for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. According to the website for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, MGK (real name Richard Baker) was busted at 4:12 AM and released a few hours later after posting $100 bond. MGK is currently touring and played the State Theatre in St. Petersburg last night. His next tour date is in Los Angeles on February 8. (TMZ)

He also spent time in handcuffs last summer for leading a flash mob.

Cleveland rapper “Machine Gun Kelly” was arrested Saturday after inciting a flash mob at South Park Mall, Strongsville police said. Officers responded to the mall after being tipped off about a possible flash mob taking place at 5 p.m. Although he was asked by the SPD to refrain from standing on a table, Baker did it anyway, sending his die-hard fans into a frenzy. A YouTubevideo shows the rapper jumping up on a table with a megaphone in the food court, but just as soon as he was up, police officers yanked him down. (WJW-TV)

With the legal woes behind him, MGK is now gearing up for his forthcoming Lace Up solo LP.

“”Lace Up” the Album officially releases in stores October 9th!!! Pre-order at http://www.mgklaceup.com !! LTFU,” he tweeted August 7th.

“This is the first time I’ve ever seen Lace Up trending. I feel like a proud dad or something http://instagr.am/p/ODMgcjCtXo/”

“Aliens rage heavy to Wild Boy. I’m witnessing it right now. Space nuts!!!” (Machine Gun Kelly’s Twitter)
