[With the 25th anniversary of hip-hop platform “Lyricist Lounge” on the horizon, co-founder Anthony Marshall tells SOHH if he spends ample time keeping relationships with past star-studded show guests.]

If I do have a personal relationship with someone I’ve worked with, then I do keep in touch because we’re friends and if we don’t then we don’t.

I think it’s important when it’s natural. I wouldn’t suggest just doing it for business. We definitely keep up with folks from a friendship standpoint.

We’re always out and about so we get to catch up with people.

Hip-hop is to the point where it’s grown up in the 40’s now. We have different generations that are at different points in their life.

Culture reflects life and life reflects culture, so what you have is people in different stages of their life and reflecting their state in life through their music.

  1. They need to bring this show back. If URL & KOTD type stuff exists, this show could do well if updated

  2. If you could use extra payment with average of 50-300 bucks a day for doing work from comfort of your house for 3-4 hrs every day then this may interest you…

  3. cats skills aint good enough to do this now,,,and their hearts aint strong enough to risk the embarassment
