A recent clip revealed a January 2015 drop date for the LP.

Joey Bada$$’s long-done debut album B4.DA.$$ has at long last been assigned a release date: January 20th, 2015, aka Joey’s birthday. “My 1st album on my 20th birthday this was destiny,” explains the Pro Era rapper in a message accompanying a new album trailer. (The FADER)

Joey also provided an accompanying statement to address the project’s release date.

“P.eace young world this is the Badmon Jozif and I just want to thank all of my supporters and fans for being so patient with me as I finish my first album. The wait is finally almost over and the release date is locked and loaded. After discovering my birthday falls on a Tuesday (the day of the week all albums drop) next year I decided to save the album drop for then (1.20.15). I thought it was the best time to cause a shift. It’s always been a goal of mine to drop a project on my birthday and the premonition has finally come into fruition. The number 120 is very unique and symbolic to me as well. My 1st album on my 20th birthday this was destiny. (Statement)

  1. That’s dope, I ain’t even realize Joey came out yesterday. I’mma check for it – I bought PRhyme… maybe Joey will get my dough too. My new yurz rezolution is to buy more good music. (sidenote: damn, he outpacin Lupe?)

  2. Good to see that Hip Hop is in good hands in 2015 thanks to the likes of:

    Joey BadA$$
    A$AP Nast
    Cilvia Demo
S/O to The Diamond District holding down for the DMV (PG Cnty.)…keep repp’n my G…

  3. That’s seems pretty appropriate for Joey Bada$$ in comparison with his fan base. He has time to grow. I’d count that as a success if I were him. Isn’t he independent? Getting paid to do what you love is the real reward. If you can do that regardless you won.

  4. JOEY BADA$$ reminds me of LUPE…I hope LUPE’s sales improve…the new LUPE album is another CLASSIC..up there with #THE COOL..and his last album F&L2 which I thought was great as well…..

    • I need to get Joeys album and Lupes, heard that Lupe as you said is FIRE! I liked the Cool somewhat but F&L was my fave of his. I didn’t hear part two, songs here or there but did not get the whole CD. Lupe’s though I am going to hear and then give Joey some burn.

  5. It’s a damn shame that I didn’t even know Joey had an Album coming. Lupe numbers should be higher too. He raps with purpose. Most Rapper rap about nothing but just about every Lupe song has a point or meaning.

  6. Dam this the first time lupe did under 100k he got a soild album joey numbers nice i wish him and lupe could’ve sold over 100k cause they both got solid hiphop albums

  7. Fifty thousand is a reasonable figure for Joey at this point and time. I was dreading somewhere between 10-15k. Sign to the roc now Joey!

  8. Didn’t know either of them were dropping. Rappers need to start taking promo into their own hands. Not just sending out lazy ass tweets and instagram posts. Get out in the public and you yourself let it be known you’re dropping. I miss the street team days before we was on the web niggas always new when someone’s shit was bout to drop cuz the street teams would campaign all through the hood with the dope flyers stickers all over town, t-shirts and hoodies…
