Although he could not dish out too many details, the Disturbin’ Tha Peace leader said his LP will mesh throwback elements with his personal and global experiences from over the past 24 months.

Fast & Furious 6 [movie] is coming out this year and we’re completely concentrating on the music right now, so, you know, it’s all about Ludaversal album,” Luda said in an interview. “Ludaversal, the whole premise is welcome to my world. This is album number eight, so you know, it’s about progression, it’s about growth and you’re just gonna get some real personal records on here. We’re taking it back to the pure elements of what I do. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel all over the world over the past two years so it’s that but it’s also taking it back to the roots” (FUSE)

Last fall, Luda hinted at plans to deliver Ludaversal sometime this year.

Ludacris debuted his sexy collaboration with Kelly Rowland “Representin” on Monday, but you’ll have to wait until next year to get your hands on his album Ludaversal. The Atlanta rapper plans to release more cuts from his eighth LP before it arrives in early 2013. “You gon’ hear a lot more records from the Ludaversal album, coming first quarter next year,” he told Hot 107.9 Atlanta. Earlier this year, he dropped the strip club anthem “Jingalin'” produced by Da Internz, and has been in the studio with Pharrell, Miguel, Jim Jonsin, Rico Love, and others. (Rap-Up)

Last week, Jim Jonsin production protégé Zac of Finatik & Zac hit up SOHH and talked about putting together Luda’s “Representin'” anthem.

“The Ludacris and Kelly Rowland “Representin'” record was a Jim Jonsin session. As many people might know, we’re signed to him. He was booked in to work with Luda and we met up with him and Rico Love. Rico was in the session as well and co-produced the track with Jim. We were out at Circle House down in Miami. We just kind of tried a few different ideas with Ludacris and then we kind of vibed with some stuff and just stumbled across that. Jim hit some chords and Rico said, “Those chords are it. That’s a smash right there. I don’t know where you’re going with it, but just use those chords right there and I’m going to write a crazy chorus to is.” So we banged out the track in like, 20 minutes, it was just one of those real quick ones. We banged it out and then Luda wrote his verses. Luda took his time and actually went out to his car by himself to listen to the record on repeat. It took him a few hours because he didn’t just rush it. He wrote his verses, came back and said, “You know, it’d just be crazy to get Kelly Rowland on this track.” A couple months later, they reached out to her and got it done and that’s how it happened.” (SOHH Singled Out)

Back in June, Luda revealed his aim to focus the LP on his personal life.

“This album Ludaversal, it’s all about progression. We’re taking it to heights that you never, ever seen before,” the Atlanta MC told MTV News earlier this month at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee. It’s been two years since Luda dropped Battle of the Sexes, and the rapper/actor aims to catch his fans up on all of his goings-on. “I’ve had seven albums, so right now it’s about trying to go places that I haven’t been. I’ve traveled over the world for the past year and I brought a lot of experiences back with me and put ’em in the music,” he said. “I’ve had a lot of personal experiences, so you’re going to get to know the real me and things that have been going on over the past three or four years.” (RapFix)
