While the initial buzz died down, Luda released a video reminding fans to prepare for the upcoming album.

We droppin’ a leak single, it’s called ‘Everybody Drunk As F*ck,’ and then after that ‘My Chick Bad.’ Get ready for it, it’s never been done before. An album with the female and male perspective battling out every single song. Ludacris. Shawnna. Can’t nobody get down like we get down.” (DTP TV)
Shawnna previously hit the stage in New York City for Luda’s Theater of the Mind release last November hyping the crowd up for their project’s release.
Luda brought out Shawnna who helped perform “What’s Your Fantasy” and “Gettin’ Some” before confirming an upcoming 2009 collaboration album with Luda calledBattle of the Sexes. “I love you New York ladies,” Shawnna told the female audience. “We run this sh*t. Free Remy Ma, ya dig? Believe that, it’s official. Me, Battle of the Sexes, so ladies, that means you gotta support me – battle, that means whose better, the women or the men?” (SOHH)
Along with their release, Luda is also eyeing additional music and film projects.
“In ’09, I’m definitely dropping another album,” Luda said in an interview. “I’m working on a Battle of the Sexes album and a Theater of the Mind 2. With Battle of the Sexes, I’m trying to do some stuff with Shawnna. There’s another movie coming out called The Game, which stars Gerard Butler…It’s human beings playing other human beings in a battle zone. They do it to shave time off their sentences, or to get outta jail. It’s going to be crazy.” (Hip Hop DX)
Shawnna got here first big break with Ludacris and has worked with many rap heavy weights.
Shawnna then hooked up with Ludacris around 1999, who granted her a spot on his break-out single “What’s Your Fantasy.” Two years after an album with Luda’s Disturbing Tha Peace crew, she finally released Worth Tha Weight, her solo debut for Def Jam.
