R&B singer Lloyd‘s forthcoming King of Hearts post-Murder Inc. Records debut will keep fans waiting longer as its release date has been pushed back over a month.
According to reports, Lloyd’s LP will drop toward late March.
I guess we have to wait a little more for Lloyd’s fourth studio album. The singer and his team have decided to push back the album from its February 14th date to March 22nd. Polow and Young Goldie are promising a classic album this time around. (Hip Hop N More)
Prior reports showed Lloyd’s new solo project hitting store shelves in early February.
Lloyd will be stealing hearts this Valentine’s Day. After shifting his album release from February to December, the R&B heartthrob is sticking to his original plan. King of Hearts is officially set for a February 1, 2011 release date, Rap-Up.com can confirm. Lloyd’s fourth album and first on Zone 4/Interscope Records was executive produced by Polow Da Don and includes the lead single “Lay It Down” and follow-up “Let’s Get It In” featuring 50 Cent. Recently, Lloyd said his post-Murder Inc. release would be packed with surprises.
“I’m the King of Hearts, you know,” Lloyd said in an interview. “And at the album release, we gonna be drinking Ace of Spades…Me and Polow Da Don have been working hard. I got a lot of surprises. I think that a lot of people haven’t heard me sound like this, haven’t heard me sing like this. It’s gonna be a new look, it’s gonna be like I’m back for the first time. It should be anticipated. The album is gonna be my best work to date, King of Hearts.” (MTV)
The album follows up 2008’s Lessons in Love.
Debuting at No. 7, R&B sensation Lloyd surprised many selling a cool 51,000 in his first week on the charts. The singer’s third album Lessons In Love featured special guests including hip-hop superstar Ludacris while his Lil Wayne assisted hit single “Girls Around the World” continues to hit radio airwaves across the country.
