After diced words were exchanged between R&B singers Miguel and Lloyd over a perceived swagger jacking, SOHH hit up the former Murder Inc. star to find out if a beef is cooking between the two.
When asked if fans should anticipate the war of words to continue, Lloyd said the situation would be addressed in a face-to-face meeting.
“Well if it is [a beef], then we’ll find out when I see him, you know,” Lloyd told SOHH when asked if he feels there is an R&B beef taking place. “I mean, I didn’t have a response to that. You can ask me [if it’s serious] after I see him. As far as what’s next, I’m just touring with Lil Wayne so I’m looking forward to that and my new King of Hearts [album] being in stores. That’s all I’m worried about right now.” (SOHH)
After accusing Lloyd of swiping his hairdo, Miguel denied beef speculation.
“Beef with Lloyd? Shots? None at all. Its 2011, Get Money.,” he tweeted July 7th. (Miguel’s Twitter)
A couple days ago, Lloyd opened up getting his head tattooed.
Lloyd, who has several other tattoos, explained why he got the fresh ink. “I’m a walking contrast. I go from hard to soft, I go from guns to roses, which is what’s on my tat. And I like to go from the streets to the sheets,” he told host Terrence J. “I make street-savvy R&B music, but I also like to slow it down and be sensual at times, so when you listen to King of Hearts you get a lot of the contrast of who is me.” Miguel, known for sporting his own bold haircuts, saw Lloyd’s shaved head and chimed in with his thoughts. “Imitation is the Highest form of Flattery. Shout to LLoyd,” tweeted the “Sure Thing” singer. (Rap-Up)
He also said the ink was a visual representation of a late family member.
The tattoo also represents Lloyd’s love for his grandfather who passed away. “I lost my best friend in the world July 4th of last year, my grandfather, and the whole time I did it, I just thought about him, all the good times we shared.” (Global Grind)
