G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks has talked about completing Hunger For More 2 and the possibility of getting a collaboration with Kanye West.
Although his album is slated to drop in November, Banks is still optimistic about adding a smash hit as the finishing touch.
“That’s my problem now is having too many records,” Banks explained in an interview about his upcoming Hunger For More 2 album. “It’s definitely not a problem with not having enough. But I definitely want to get in — hopefully we can get in there with Kanye [West] too. You never know what’ll come out. ‘On Fire’ was the last record I recorded [for Hunger For More] but it was the first single I released, so, sometimes its works that way. I don’t want to cut my own self off until the deadline hits. You never know what’s gonna happen.” (Trace TV)
Earlier this week, West publicly gave Banks a co-sign via his Twitter page.
“Yo man Loyd Banks prolly the most underrated MC in the game… Man he deserve to be top 5 at least!,” West tweeted Wednesday (September 8) night. (Kanye West’s Twitter)
In addition to Banks, 50 Cent recently hinted at possibly hooking up with the Grammy-winning producer for his upcoming untitled album.
“A lot of producers send stuff that’s interesting,” 50 said in an interview. “To me, it inspires me to write with different cadences, see a different style. I don’t want the record to sound like old material. I want it to sound like something new. They all go, ‘Oh, Fif, we want that Get Rich or Die Tryin’. They do the same thing to Jay-Z, [but] if you want the old one, buy the old one. If you want the new material that the artist is inspired to write, check it out…I sat with Swizz [Beatz]; I’mma try to get in with him. Don’t even be surprised if you hear me and Kanye, just talented artists — period. I’mma collaborate and make a monster this time. Ain’t nobody off limits to me in my head. If creatively they have something they feel is something for the project, I’m with it.” (MTV)
Aside from a possible West collaboration, Banks talked about adding a few other guest features on his project earlier this month.
“As far as features go, of course, 50 Cent is on the project, Tony Yayo is on the project,” Banks revealed in an interview. “I got Raekwon on a joint, I just spoke to him. Just spoke to Styles P, waiting on that back. Nipsey Hussle and a few other things that’s still in the workings. I’m in the tailor end of the project right now. Just waiting for the features to get back and seeing who’s a good fit then the next week or so, I’ll have a more realistic list of what they can expect from HFM2.” (Civilized Talk)
The Hunger For More 2 is slated to drop Tuesday, November 23rd.
