G-Unit‘s Lloyd Banks has backed Eminem as a result of Rick Ross‘ recent “monkey” and “honkey” labels and said another diss record is on the way.
The rapper questioned Ross’ reasons for potentially sparking a rap beef with Em.
“As far as calling out Eminem, c’mon man, that’s just gonna make me spank on you even harder,” Banks said in an interview. “I got ‘Officer Down, Part II’ coming. He’ll have to deal with that. You’re not in the top 10 lyricists nowhere. So just sit down, man. We seen what Em can do. Em’s in a whole ‘nother lane. How do you go from praising somebody in one interview to calling him a ‘monkey’ in the next? He’s been in out of pocket too many times. We’ll see where his future goes. It doesn’t look too bright, if you ask me. First of all, his first week was 150 thousand and change. That was with two or three months of promotion, beefing with the most popular rapper there is right now outside of Eminem. There is no bigger promotion than that” (MTV)
Em was recently called out by Ross earlier this week.
“N*ggas cut throat,” he declared in a video. “You know now they saying ‘monkey’ could be black-on-black racial, keep saying monkey. So the only way I can fix that, Eminem, you’re a monkey. He’s really a honkey, but that’s racial. You’s a monkey, you n*ggas monkeys…’Wood Face,’ it’s no longer Curly, now you’re Wood Face. Eh, Whoo Kid, I found out you’re making 300 a show, my deejay makes way more than you. You’re nobody. Do me the biggest favor, hit me up.” (Spiff TV)
Despite his recent jabs at Em, Ross has shown admiration for Slim Shady and Dr. Dre via his version of “Crack A Bottle.”
“Phony Yayo has officially checked into rehab,” Ross said in the song’s intro. “Lloyd Banks is dating Perez Hilton. He came outta the closet. Best time of my life/Gucci bourgeois pop a bottle/You know my motto, shake that b*tch from top to bottom/Hit the blunt and take a swallow/April 21 I take over the universe/I get more p*ssy than Curly Curtis just takin’ off my shirt/How ya love that, I know the h*es do/GG GG GGG-who/Them n*ggas h*es too/Them n*ggas finished before I can even end a sentence/Shout-out to Aftermath, I know it’s strictly business, Dre, send one of them beats to the South/Shout-out to Eminem, we workin’ in the future.” (“Crack A Bottle”)
Banks recently called out Ross for his answers in a BET Special interview last month when he refused to answer questions about one of his baby’s mother.
“And then you gonna get on BET and lie talking about you don’t recognize the lady in the video,” Banks said in a video clip. “And you can’t verify? N*gga that’s your [baby’s mother]. That’s that b*tch you were loving and f*cking without no condom. Yeah, her n*gga. You better not let me run across her ’cause I’ma f*ck her.” (This Is 50)
